⁣Hamlin has spoken publicly about the emotional‍ significance of the home,
especially in light of his ⁢father’s declining health.”We nearly lost our
⁤‍ house a couple of ⁢times ⁤just to⁤ keep it all going,” ⁣he shared‍ at an event
⁣ ⁢ in October, adding, “I’m⁢ just glad he ⁣was able ⁢to see 60.”

In an interview ⁤with the Associated Press (AP) in October, Hamlin revealed
‍ his⁣ father ⁣was ⁢battling a severe illness and⁣ that ⁢time together⁣ was
⁢ limited.⁢ He expressed a desire ⁣for his father to witness his racing
⁤ ‍ successes.

“I⁤ know for a fact this is my last⁤ chance for my dad ⁣to see it. ⁤I don’t
want him going and never getting to see the moment,” Hamlin told AP.
