A groundbreaking partnership between Des Moines University (DMU) and Mercy College of Health Sciences is opening doors for aspiring healthcare professionals in Iowa. The collaboration will provide Mercy students with a streamlined pathway to DMU’s advanced health sciences programs, including Doctor of osteopathic Medicine, Doctor of Podiatric Medicine, Doctor of Physical Therapy, Doctor of Occupational Therapy, Master of Biomedical Sciences, Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies, Master of Health Care Administration, Master of Public Health, Master of Science in Anatomy and Interdisciplinary Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences.
Mercy students who meet established academic benchmarks will receive prioritized consideration during the interview process for these programs. This initiative, championed by DMU President and CEO Angela L. Walker Franklin,aims to strengthen the healthcare workforce in Iowa. “This partnership builds a bridge for motivated students who want to advance their health care education,” Franklin stated.”By working with Mercy college of Health Sciences, we are helping shape a stronger health care workforce for Iowa.”
