Today, Sunday, the Food Security Commission began distributing one billion and 94 million old ouguiya. More than ten thousand families, in provincial boroughs; Al-Naama, Laayoune and Tamshkt in the states of the eastern and western basins.

According to a statement from the Commission, these cash distributions, implemented in collaboration between the Commission and the T’azur Delegation, will continue for a period of four months through regular monthly transfers.

The statement explained that the beneficiaries of these cash transfers are based on the state’s social registry data.

Food Safety Commissioner Fatima Bint Khatri, on the occasion, said that the aim of the visit is to “get a field view of the projects and programs implemented by the Commission and the extent of their positive impact on the living conditions of citizens, including cash. transfers.”

Bint Khatri added that the Commissioner “as a branch of the state in implementing social programs, looks forward to a real partnership with local elected officials, in implementing the directives of His Excellency the President of the Republic in this area, and to ensure the effectiveness of the programs implemented, and for monitoring, evaluation and further follow-up,” as he said.

Bint Khatri called for “the activation of the regional and provincial structures of the national mechanism for preventing and responding to food and nutrition crises, which ensure the preparation of an accurate database annually for the food situation, on which interventions are implemented basis. for the benefit of targeted citizens.”

The Commissioner visited the milk production and canning unit in the city of Laayoune, for the benefit of a group of women’s cooperatives in the city, completed by the Commission within the framework of the Italian Cooperation Program The production capacity of this unit reaches 150 liters per day .
