The highly anticipated match between Al-Ahly of Egypt and Al-Ain of the United Arab Emirates in the quarter-finals of the Confederations Cup on Club Football (Intercontinental) is set to take place on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at the Cairo International Stadium.
Turkish referee Halil Amut Melir will officiate the match, which is scheduled to start at 7pm, 19:00 Cairo, Makkah, and Doha time.

Al Ain, the Asian champions, secured their spot in the tournament by defeating Auckland, New Zealand 6-2, and will now face Al Ahly, the African champions, in the second match of the tournament in Cairo.
The Confederations Cup on Club Football (Intercontinental) is a new tournament announced by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) in December last year, replacing the annual Club World Cup, which will now be held every 4 years with 32 teams starting in 2025.
The final match of the tournament, featuring Spanish team Real Madrid, will be held in Qatar’s capital Doha on 18 December, the same day the Qatar 2022 World Cup final was held at the Lusail Stadium.
