Desmond claude, formerly‍ of USC, has committed to Washington, according to CBS‍ sports’ Jon Rothstein. Claude, a highly sought-after point⁢ guard ⁤in the college basketball ​transfer portal, is ⁣set⁣ to join the Huskies. He was the highest-ranked uncommitted‍ prospect in the ‍portal’s top 150.

Claude’s decision ⁤followed interest from Alabama and‍ Gonzaga. He is ranked as the No. 9 point guard and No. 31 overall player in the 2025 transfer cycle. ⁣This move marks Claude’s second transfer in as‍ many years, having⁢ previously played at Xavier before joining ‌USC.

During his time‌ with⁢ the Trojans, ​Claude led ⁢the team in scoring, ‌averaging 15.8 ‍points ⁣per game. The New ⁤Haven, Conn., ‍native also recorded​ a double-double ‌against Washington, scoring 25 points ⁢and dishing out 11 ​assists. He ranked 12th ​in ​the Big​ Ten in scoring.
