Mother in Rehab Pleads for Help Reaching Injured Son
Rosemount, OH – A frantic mother at a local rehabilitation facility reached out to law enforcement for assistance in a desperate bid to reach her injured son. The woman, who was receiving treatment out of town, told officers she had just learned of a serious accident involving her 19-year-old son in Mansfield.
Overcome with worry, she explained that she was struggling to secure transportation adn needed Medicaid to cover the cost of the ride. Though,she claimed the agency required verification from law enforcement that the rehabilitation facility was legitimate.
Distraught and tearful,the woman arranged to meet officers at the Rosemount McDonald’s. Upon arrival, deputies found her visibly upset and immediately took her back to the rehabilitation center.
Staff at the facility confirmed they were actively trying to help the mother arrange transportation. They also assured officers that if she was unable to secure a ride, she could stay overnight in her room and they would provide transportation to Mansfield the following morning.
