Destiny 2 Leak: Chatterwhite Shader Returning from Destiny 1!

Destiny 2 Brings Back Chatterwhite Shader from Destiny 1

Bungie is set to return another popular shader, Chatterwhite, to Destiny 2. This comes after the revival of the Superblack shader earlier this year.

Chatterwhite Shader Overview

Chatterwhite is known for its all-white appearance and was first introduced in Destiny 1’s Vault of Glass raid. Many players have expressed their desire for Chatterwhite to return, especially since a similar shader called Bitterpearl was introduced in Destiny 2 but did not satisfy fans.

Datamined Information

Recent data mining reveals that Chatterwhite may be linked to a new event titled “Firecracker.” This event will involve quests with characters such as The Drifter and Eris Morn. However, no official confirmation has been provided by Bungie.

How to Unlock Chatterwhite Shader

To unlock the Chatterwhite shader, players must complete the “Packed Lunch” questline. Here are the steps for the first quest:

1. Visit Drifter in the Tower.
2. Complete five Bento Boxes with Drifter.
3. Return to Drifter in the Tower.
4. Check a vending machine near Drifter to get a “Bootleg Drifter tincture.”

Additional Questlines

There are seven more questlines tied to the Firecracker event. Here are some of them:

1. Nightmare Lunch Questline: Visit Drifter, complete 60 activities on the Moon, then return to Eris Morn.
2. The Stuff of Legends Questline: Speak to Drifter, finish any raid or dungeon encounters, and return to Eris.
3. A Dubious Bento Questline: Speak to Drifter, collect specific items from activities, and return to Eris.

Release Date

Currently, there is no announcement regarding the release date for the Chatterwhite shader or the Firecracker event.
