Two new dealerships will bring the iconic tractor brand closer to Irish farmers.
Deutz-Fahr, the renowned tractor brand distributed by SDF in Ireland, is strengthening its presence in the country with the addition of two new dealerships. This expansion underscores the company’s commitment to providing Irish farmers with reliable machinery and remarkable service.
Kearney Bros Agri,located in Acres,Fermoy,will serve southern Cork. While the Kearney name has been synonymous with Deutz and Fahr since the 1970s, this new venture, Kearney Bros agri Ltd, was established in 2009 by Eoin Kearney and Kevin O’Keefe.”We’re excited to bring the Deutz-Fahr brand back to southern Cork,” said Eoin Kearney. “Our team has a deep understanding of the agricultural industry and a commitment to providing our customers with the best possible service.”
Kevin O’Keefe will oversee the service department, while Stephen Kearney will manage parts. Neilus Kearney, father to the brothers and one of the original founders of the family business, will also be involved.
The dealership’s experience in importing used machinery and its well-equipped workshop, combined with an established customer base, positions them well to serve the needs of local farmers.
Meanwhile, in County Galway, MH Services, owned by Mike Hughes, will represent Deutz-Fahr. Based in Cummer, Hughes brings valuable experience to the role, having served his apprenticeship with a local Same/Hurlimann tractor dealer.
“I’m thrilled to be partnering with Deutz-Fahr,” said Hughes. “I’ve always admired the brand’s quality and reliability, and I’m looking forward to providing farmers in Galway with the same level of service I’ve built my business on.”
Hughes has been operating MH Services since 2011,importing and servicing tractors and cultivating a strong customer base. SDF believes his expertise and dedication will make him a valuable asset to the Galway farming community.
