Indiana basketball coach Darian DeVries is managing a significant roster rebuild for the 2026-27 season. The program is facing the loss of six players due to eligibility and at least four players entering the transfer portal, according to reporting from The Herald-Times and IndyStar.
The transfer window for Division 1 players opened on April 7, 2026 and is scheduled to run through April 21, 2026.
Transfer Portal Departures
Several players have already entered the transfer portal. Josh Harris and Jasai Miles both entered the portal on April 6, 2026, followed by Aleksa Ristic on April 7, 2026.

Josh Harris, a 6-foot-8 forward, did not play in official games for the Hoosiers, with his only appearances occurring during a preseason foreign tour in Puerto Rico. Harris suffered a lower-body injury in September 2025 and remained on the injury report for the remainder of the season.
During the 2024-25 season at North Florida, Harris averaged 13.4 points and 7.1 rebounds. He was the only freshman in Division I men’s basketball to record at least 400 points and 200 rebounds with 55.0% or better shooting, which earned him a spot on the Atlantic Sun All-Freshman team.
Aleksa Ristic also suffered a lower-body injury in September 2025 after enrolling shortly before the Puerto Rico tour. Ristic played a total of 31 minutes during the season, making his debut on December 3, 2025, in a 73-64 loss to Minnesota.
Prior to his time at Indiana, Ristic played professionally for three seasons with KK Dynamic in the top league in Serbia. In the 2024-25 season, he averaged 13.9 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 4.3 assists while shooting 39.3% from 3-point range, serving as the team’s second-leading scorer.
Jasai Miles played limited minutes for a large portion of the season. However, he eventually established a role in the rotation as a rebounder and defensive presence, recording double-digit minutes in seven of the final 13 games.
Roster Retention and Recruitment
Trent Sisley is the only player currently confirmed to return for the 2026-27 season. Sisley played in 30 games as a true freshman during the 2025-26 season.
To address the roster vacancies, DeVries will welcome three 4-star freshman signees. All three incoming players were ranked as top-100 players in the most recent recruiting cycle.
