Get ready to revisit the dark world of Dexter Morgan. Showtime has released a chilling teaser for “Dexter: Original Sin,” the highly anticipated prequel series that delves into the formative years of everyone’s favorite forensic blood spatter analyst turned vigilante.
The teaser, unveiled at CCXP in São Paulo, Brazil, offers a tantalizing glimpse into 1991 Miami, where a young Dexter (Patrick Gibson) grapples with his burgeoning homicidal urges.But Dexter isn’t alone. the teaser introduces us to Captain Aaron Spencer, played by Patrick Dempsey, whose imposing mustache and stern demeanor suggest he’s not one to be trifled with.
“Dexter: Original Sin” also welcomes back familiar faces, albeit in their younger iterations. Christian Slater steps into the role of Harry Morgan, Dexter’s adoptive father and guiding force, while Molly Brown portrays a young Debra Morgan, Dexter’s fiery sister.
The series picks up with Dexter navigating the treacherous waters of his dual life: a promising forensics intern at the Miami Metro Police Department and a burgeoning serial killer adhering to his father’s strict “Code.”
