‘Homebound’ Cinematographer Pratik Shah Faces Misconduct Claims

Dharma Productions has responded to allegations of sexual misconduct against Pratik Shah, cinematographer for the film “Homebound,” emphasizing its zero-tolerance policy toward harassment. The production company issued a statement a day after the allegations surfaced.
Shah, who recently attended the Cannes premiere of “Homebound,” is accused of inappropriate behavior toward multiple women. Filmmaker Abhinav Singh detailed the accusations in an online post, citing testimonials from approximately 20 women.The allegations against Pratik shah, a prominent figure in the film industry, have sparked widespread discussion about workplace safety and accountability.

The production company added that its Internal Complaints committee (ICC) did not receive any complaints against Shah during his involvement with “Homebound.”
“Mr. Pratik Shah was a freelancer on the project Homebound and was working on it for a limited period. His engagement with us has been completed. During this limited period our internal committee for POSH didn’t receive any complaints against him from any cast or crew on our film ‘Homebound’,” the statement read. The company clarified Shah’s limited-term engagement and the absence of formal complaints during that time.
Prior to “Homebound,” Pratik Shah worked on “CTRL” and “Jubilee,” among other projects. According to THR India, four years ago, a young female cinematographer reported Shah to the Indian Women Cinematographers’ collective (IWCC) after he allegedly solicited a nude picture.
