The band achieved immense popularity, racking up seven irish number one singles and becoming a household name. Their hit song “To Whom It concerns” even became the theme song for the iconic Irish television program, The Late Late Show.
In 1966, Rock represented Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Come Back to Stay,” finishing in a respectable fourth place. He later embarked on a successful solo career, captivating audiences with his soulful voice and energetic performances until his retirement in 2019 at the age of 84.
