Ferrari said the show originated from a conversation with Crivelli nearly 20 years ago. ”The show was born from an idea by Filippo Crivelli… He noticed a series of inaccuracies in my recording of some songs of the Milanese Mala and offered to help me,” Ferrari stated. she added that Crivelli provided her with materials and ideas, leading to the concept of “Dictionary of Underworld.”
According to Ferrari, Crivelli envisioned the Gerolamo Theater as the ideal venue, but the theater was closed at the time, and the script remained unproduced. “This dictionary is a ‘fun’, a game that he had given me together with the book,” Ferrari explained. She also credited Piero Colaprico for his enthusiasm and support in bringing the project to fruition.
