Los Angeles — A former security guard at the Intercontinental Hotel in Los Angeles, where Sean “Diddy” Combs allegedly assaulted his then-girlfriend Casandra “Cassie” Ventura, is expected to testify Tuesday. Eddie Garcia, who worked at the hotel, will take the stand under immunity.
Garcia’s testimony centers on a 2016 incident. Video footage released last year showed Combs, in a towel, attacking Ventura in front of a hotel elevator. He was seen grabbing, dragging, and kicking her, before pulling her back into a hotel room.
ventura previously testified about the assault, and jurors viewed the surveillance video as evidence. She also stated she reached a $10 million settlement with the Intercontinental Hotel.

Garcia’s testimony follows questioning of Combs’ former assistant, known as “Mia.” Combs’ lawyer, Brian Steel, aggressively cross-examined Mia, presenting texts showing her admiration for Combs even after she stopped working for him.
Steel questioned why Mia would consider Combs her “savior,” referencing a text where she described a nightmare involving R. Kelly and Combs’ rescue. Mia responded that she “did love that dude,” referring to Combs, during a time when he was publicly admired.
Steel pressed Mia on whether she had any contemporaneous evidence of her allegations. Mia stated she did not document the alleged abuse at the time and never told anyone about it.
defense attorneys challenged Mia’s credibility, but she maintained, “I have never lied in this courtroom, and I will never lie in this courtroom.” She also denied seeking monetary compensation from Combs or planning to sue him over the sex abuse claims.
What’s next
Garcia’s testimony is expected to provide further details regarding the 2016 assault, as the trial continues to examine allegations against Combs.
