Diddy Ex-Cassie: Statement After Verdict | Celebrity News
Sean ‘P Diddy’ Combs’ has received the verdicts for all five of his sex crime charges in a high profile sex trafficking trial. His ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura’s statement was issued by her legal representatives as she reacted to the news.
Diddy was found guilty on two counts of transportation for prostitution, but cleared of sex trafficking and racketeering. Ventura was named in one count of transportation and one count of sex trafficking.
She issued in a statement: “This entire criminal process started when our client Cassie Ventura had the courage to file her civil complaint in November 2023.
“Although the jury did not find Combs guilty of sex trafficking Cassie beyond a reasonable doubt, she paved the way for a jury to find him guilty of transportation to engage in prostitution. By coming forward with her experience, Cassie has left an indelible mark on both the entertainment industry and the fight for justice.
Ventura was a key witness during the trial, and alleged that she was physically assaulted and harmed by Diddy. She claimed she was coerced into arranging and participating in sexual encounters for the entertainment mogul’s pleasure, which often involved her engaging with escorts in his presence, frequently using copious amounts of baby oil and lube.
Cassie stated that this responsibility started to feel like employment as she was allegedly charged with organising these events and utilising Diddy’s funds to facilitate them.
Her husband, Alex Fine, also gave a heartfelt testimony during the trial, praising Cassie for her resilience. He shared, “Over the past five days, the world has gotten to witness the strength and bravery of my wife freeing herself of her past. I have felt so many things sitting there. I have felt tremendous pride and overwhelming love for Cass. I have felt profound anger that she has been subjected to sitting in front of a person who tried to break her.”
Diddy proclaimed his innocence by pleading not guilty to all charges. He strongly repudiated any misconduct attributed to him, including any claims made in civil legal actions against him.
