A new study offers hope for women experiencing persistent fatigue following ovarian cancer treatment. Researchers at the University of Michigan have found that self-acupressure, learned through a smartphone app, significantly reduced cancer-related fatigue compared to both sham acupressure and usual care.
The randomized clinical trial, published in , in JAMA Network Open, involved 160 ovarian cancer survivors struggling with fatigue. Participants were randomly assigned to six weeks of either true self-acupressure (TSA), sham self-acupressure (SSA), or usual care (UC).
