Diogo Dalot Serves Christmas Meals to Homeless in Manchester

Manchester, England – Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot traded his cleats for an apron on Christmas Eve, surprising visitors at a local homeless shelter with a heartwarming act of kindness.

Dalot, who has called Manchester home for over six years, arrived unannounced at Lifeshare, a city center charity dedicated to supporting vulnerable individuals. Accompanied by his partner, Dalot brought donations of clothing and food before rolling up his sleeves to help serve over 100 meals.

“I have lived in Manchester for over six years now and I’m proud to call this city my home,” Dalot said.”Regrettably, homelessness is on the rise; as a family, we want to raise awareness and also directly help people wherever we can.”

Dalot expressed his admiration for the Lifeshare volunteers, calling them “true heroes” and praising their dedication.

“I’m really grateful that I was able to spend time with them and play a small part in helping to deliver such vital work for the people that they support,” he added.

Jahan Hussain, a trustee at Lifeshare, highlighted the importance of Dalot’s visit, especially after a challenging year that nearly saw the charity close its doors during its 40th anniversary.

“Following a really tough year, where Lifeshare even faced closure during its 40th anniversary, support like this is literally life-saving,” Hussain said.

Lifeshare’s annual christmas project,a week-long event providing shelter,food,and companionship to those in need,is currently underway. The charity offers hot showers, clean clothes, and shoes, along with access to services like haircuts, pet care, and eye health care.
