Liverpool forward Diogo Jota, a key player known for his clinical finishing, tragically died in a car accident in northern spain early Thursday.He was 28. His brother, André Silva, 26, also a professional footballer, was killed in the same incident, Spanish authorities confirmed.
The single-vehicle accident occurred near Zamora, Spain. According to the Civil Guard, the Lamborghini Jota was driving veered off the A-52 motorway and caught fire. No othre vehicles were involved in the crash.
Witnesses reported the car was engulfed in flames, which spread to nearby vegetation. The incident took place near Sanabria, in the Zamora province, around kilometer 65 of the A-52.
