DirecTV Expands Sports Offering with NASCAR and MLS Deals

DirecTV is boosting its sports programming through new agreements covering both motorsports and soccer. The satellite provider has secured rights to carry NASCAR races via Amazon Prime Video and will offer Major League Soccer (MLS) games to subscribers at no cost.
A deal with Amazon’s Prime Video gives DirecTV’s out-of-home business platform access to the streamer’s live NASCAR broadcasts.This means DirecTV for Business, serving over 300,000 commercial locations, will be the only commercial broadcast service carrying every NASCAR race for the remainder of 2025.
The Prime Video package includes five races, starting with the Cracker Barrel 400 at Nashville on June 2. other races include the Firekeepers Casino 400 (June 8), NASCAR’s Mexico debut at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez (June 15), and the Pocono Raceway race (June 22).
DirecTV is also offering its customers free access to MLS Sunday Night Soccer broadcasts. This offer, celebrating the MLS’s 30th anniversary, applies to both residential and commercial DirecTV subscribers throughout the 2025 season.
This complements DirecTV For Business’ existing exclusive deal for commercial premises to carry the MLS Season Pass broadcast service. DirecTV also sponsors San Diego FC, the newest MLS expansion team debuting in 2025.DirecTV’s branding will feature on the front of SDFC jerseys and throughout Snapdragon Stadium.
