Disney Lawsuit: Doctor Odyssey Crew Sexual Harassment
‘Doctor Odyssey’ Crew Files Sexual Harassment Lawsuit Against Disney
Updated May 31, 2025
Three former crew members from ABC’s “Doctor odyssey” have filed a lawsuit against 20th Television and Disney, alleging a pervasive environment of sexual harassment and subsequent retaliation. Caroline Mack, Alicia Haverland, and Ava Steinbrenner claim they were subjected to a campaign of “unchecked sexual harassment” by their supervisor, assistant prop master Tyler Patton.
The plaintiffs allege that Patton subjected them to unwanted sexual comments and inappropriate touching. They reported these incidents, but claim they were afterward fired and blacklisted from future 20th and Disney productions. The lawsuit details a work culture where Patton and male colleagues frequently made comments on their sexual preferences, observing the reactions of the women around them.
One specific incident cited in the complaint alleges that Patton told one of the plaintiffs to “swallow the cum before you talk.” The lawsuit further claims that Patton sent pornographic material via text, groped female coworkers, and gave lingering hugs. In one instance, patton allegedly texted the entire props department, including his wife Tammie Patton,a fake news story about former President Joe Biden that linked to a website displaying a nude photograph of a man’s erect penis.
According to the complaint,Patton allegedly boasted,”If I wasn’t f–king the boss,I’d be fired,” referring to his wife,Tammie Patton, who also served as his supervisor. Mack filed a formal human resources report following this incident.
While Tyler Patton was eventually terminated after the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that Tammie Patton retaliated against them by threatening their jobs and assigning them meaningless tasks. Shortly after Tyler Patton’s removal, the entire Props Department was laid off and replaced with a new team, which the plaintiffs claim was a move “to avoid having to deal with any remaining employee-relations issues tied to Tyler Patton’s and Tammie patton’s misconduct.”
Notably, Tyler Patton had previously been involved in a sexual harassment case while working on the set of “house” for Universal Network Television. Representatives for 20th and Disney have not yet responded to requests for comment.
“Doctor Odyssey,” a medical dramedy, premiered on ABC in September 2024. Its future beyond the first season remains uncertain.
