Disneyland Paris Opens World of Frozen in New Disney Adventure World

Disneyland Paris officially opened World of Frozen and unveiled its reimagined second park, Disney Adventure World, on March 29, 2026. This transformation marks one of the most ambitious developments in the history of the resort, replacing the former Walt Disney Studios Park with a destination designed to immerse guests in stories from Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, and Marvel.

The new park layout is centered around Adventure Way, a majestic and sweeping main avenue. This area is framed by gardens and entertainment, serving as the primary artery for guests entering the reimagined space. Adventure Way also introduces 15 new dining locations, including The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge.

As part of the additions to Adventure Way, the park has debuted Raiponce Tangled Spin, a new family attraction inspired by the Walt Disney Animation Studios film Tangled.

Adventure Bay and Nighttime Entertainment

A striking central lake known as Adventure Bay now anchors the park. This immense body of water serves as more than a visual centerpiece; it is the official stage for a new nighttime spectacular titled Disney Cascade of Lights.

The integration of Adventure Bay and the associated nighttime show is intended to provide a focal point for the park’s evening entertainment, complementing the new immersive lands and attractions surrounding the water.

The World of Frozen and Arendelle

The centerpiece of the expansion is the World of Frozen, a fully immersive land that transports guests directly into the Kingdom of Arendelle. The land features Nordic-inspired architecture, themed shops, and detailed environments designed to replicate the setting of the Frozen films.

Inside the World of Frozen, guests can experience Frozen Ever After, a family-friendly attraction. The ride utilizes state-of-the-art technology, iconic music, and detailed scenes to bring the narrative of the films to life.

Opening Ceremonies and Official Unveiling

The transition to Disney Adventure World was marked by a series of high-profile events. On March 28, 2026, Disneyland Paris welcomed President Macron for the official unveiling of the transformed park.

The official opening day on March 29, 2026, began with a surprise reveal. Spider-Man appeared atop the iconic Earffel Tower to announce the park’s new name, Disney Adventure World, to the crowds.

The first guests to enter the park were children from Make-A-Wish and their families. These guests were escorted along the shores of Adventure Bay in a procession that included Imagineers, cast members, various Disney characters, and the Disney Marching Band.

The reimagining of the second park reflects a strategic shift toward deeper immersion, blending the distinct styles of Disney, Pixar, and Marvel into a single cohesive environment. By replacing the studio-themed layout with the Adventure World concept, the resort has expanded its capacity for storytelling and guest experience.
