Ocean Healing Wando: Korea’s Representative Marine Healing City

Wando-gun, Jeollanam-do, has launched a new city brand, ‘Ocean Healing Wando’, to strengthen its competitiveness as Korea’s representative marine healing city. The brand aims to deliver the value of healing to visitors and focus on Wando’s diverse healing areas, including marine, forestry, agriculture, and culture.

The brand name ‘Ocean Healing Wando’ combines the local name with the concept of marine healing, conveying a vision of a future where Wando emerges as a city that heals the world by utilizing its resources.

The new symbol features a circle representing ‘wando’, ‘global’, and ‘completeness’, united with a comma symbolizing ‘healing’. This design embodies the unity and wholeness that the city strives for.

A proclamation ceremony was held to introduce the ‘Ocean Healing Wando’ brand, featuring a brand promotional video, a puzzle performance, and a future vision communication lecture. The puzzle performance, a representative marine healing event in Korea, saw participants working together to complete the puzzle, symbolizing the city’s determination to advance and grow.

By launching the ‘Ocean Healing Wando’ brand, Wando-gun aims to build consensus with residents and establish itself as a leading marine healing city in Korea.
