Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) Urban Campus business professor and Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) adviser Dr. Joe Hanson has been named to the FBLA Board of Directors.This appointment recognizes Dr.Hanson’s dedication to fostering the next generation of business professionals.
Dr. Hanson’s three-year term on the board positions him as a key governing voice within the organization, responsible for guiding FBLA’s strategic direction and ensuring it’s resources align with its core mission. The FBLA Board of directors, comprised of educators, state leaders, business professionals, and student representatives, sets the policy for the national organization, as detailed in the Board of Directors information Sheet.

Dr. Hanson has been an active member of FBLA since joining DMACC in 2004. His long-standing involvement demonstrates a consistent commitment to student success and the development of future business leaders. He expressed his honor at the appointment, stating, “I am truly honored to be appointed to the FBLA Board of Directors, and I look forward to guiding FBLA in pursuit of its mission to prepare the business leaders of the future.”
