Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) will host former U.S. Ambassador Kenneth Quinn for two public talks on October 30, 2024, as part of its War and the Human Experience Speaker Series. According to a DMACC news release, Quinn will share insights from his extensive six-decade career in international affairs.
Quinn, a native Iowan and former president of the World Food Prize Foundation, has experience aiding refugees in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Gaza. The event is designed to provide attendees with a free chance to explore the impact of global conflict on individuals and communities.
Talk Schedule and Locations
The first session will be held at DMACC’s Urban Campus from 9:40 a.m. to 11:05 a.m. The second session will take place at the ankeny Campus from 12:50 p.m. to 2:10 p.m.
