ABC Cancels ‘Doctor Odyssey’ After One Season

ABC has canceled the Ryan Murphy-created medical drama, “Doctor Odyssey,” after only one season. The show, which had been in limbo since April, faced uncertainty as cast contracts neared expiration.The network made no move to include the series in its upcoming schedule.
The cancellation follows a lawsuit filed may 30 by three former crew members against Disney and 20th Television. The suit alleges the studio enabled a unfriendly work environment, citing assistant prop master Tyler Patton’s alleged sexual harassment, including unwanted touching and inappropriate comments.
“Doctor Odyssey” featured Joshua Jackson as Dr. Max Bankman, who treated patients aboard the luxury cruise ship Odyssey. The cast also included Phillipa Soo as nurse practitioner Avery Morgan, Sean Teale as nurse Tristan Silva, and Don Johnson as Capt.Robert Massey.
