LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles Dodgers, fueled by Max Muncy’s two home runs, including a ninth-inning game-tying blast, overcame the New york Mets 6-5 Tuesday night. Freddie Freeman‘s double in the 10th inning drove in the winning run.
Brandon Nimmo misplayed Freeman’s fly ball too deep left, losing sight of it as it landed on the warning track. Tommy Edman, the automatic runner, scored from second base with one out consequently of the error.
After squandering a 4-1 lead established early, the Dodgers recorded their 20th comeback victory this season. They had previously tied Monday’s series opener in the ninth before falling 4-3 in 10 innings.
Reliever Tanner Scott (1-2) secured the win this time,retiring the Mets in order in the 10th,striking out Juan Soto and Pete Alonso before Nimmo grounded out.
