Tottenham Hotspur striker Dominic Solanke’s availability for the remainder of the Premier League season is in doubt after suffering a hamstring injury during the weekend victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers, according to reports. The injury adds to a growing list of absences for Roberto De Zerbi’s side as they battle to avoid relegation.
Early scans suggest Solanke may have suffered a grade-two hamstring injury, which typically requires three to eight weeks of recovery, as reported by FOX Sports and The Telegraph. This timeline raises the possibility that the England international will not play again this season.
Despite securing their first league win of 2026 against Wolves, Tottenham remains in the relegation zone, trailing West Ham United by two points. The potential loss of Solanke is a significant blow to De Zerbi’s plans, particularly with other key players already sidelined.
Mounting Injury Crisis for Spurs
Xavi Simons will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing surgery for an anterior cruciate ligament injury sustained in the match against Wolves. He is not expected to return to action before December.
In addition to Simons and the uncertainty surrounding Solanke, De Zerbi is currently without Mohammed Kudus, Dejan Kulusevski, Wilson Odobert, and Cristian Romero for the rest of the campaign. James Maddison is also yet to feature after returning to training following a year-long absence due to two knee injuries, leaving the squad severely depleted.
De Zerbi is expected to provide an update on Solanke’s condition during his pre-match press conference on Friday. Tottenham’s remaining fixtures include matches against Aston Villa, Leeds United, Chelsea, and Everton.
The match against Chelsea has been rescheduled for Tuesday, May 19, due to Chelsea’s involvement in the FA Cup final on Saturday, May 16.
World Cup Hopes Jeopardized
A prolonged absence for Solanke would also be a setback to his chances of being included in Thomas Tuchel’s England squad for the upcoming World Cup. The striker was considered a potential deputy to Harry Kane, but a lengthy lay-off could force Tuchel to consider other options.

The injury to Solanke further complicates an already challenging situation for Tottenham as they fight to maintain their Premier League status. De Zerbi will need to rely on the depth of his squad and hope for swift recoveries from his injured players to navigate the crucial final weeks of the season.
