Donald Trump Appoints Kash Patel as New FBI Director
Donald Trump, the elected President of the United States, has appointed Kash Patel as the new Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Patel will replace Christopher Wray, who has served in this role since 2017. According to Trump’s statement on social media, Wray must resign or be dismissed due to the length of his term.
Trump praised Patel, calling him a brilliant lawyer and investigator. He highlighted Patel’s commitment to exposing corruption and defending justice for the American people. Trump stated, “Kash did an outstanding job during my first term.”
Patel, the son of Indian immigrants, held several high-level positions in Trump’s first administration, including National Security Advisor and chief of staff to the acting Secretary of Defense. Trump expressed confidence in Patel’s ability to tackle rising crime rates in America. He mentioned Patel’s goals of dismantling criminal migrant gangs and combating the issues of human trafficking and drug smuggling.
