Westminster College’s dining services are conducting a campus-wide food drive to support the Westminster Pantry as students prepare to move out for the summer.
The initiative, promoted under the slogan “Donate, Don’t Discard,” encourages students to fill donation bags with unopened, unexpired, non-perishable food items and drop them off at Galbreath Dining Hall.
All collected donations will be delivered directly to the Westminster Pantry, which serves students facing food insecurity on campus.
Donation bags are available at all dining locations across campus for students to pick up, fill, and return.
The final day to drop off donations is May 9, 2026, which coincides with Commencement and the last day of the spring semester.
Westminster Dining Services has coordinated the effort in partnership with the Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation, aligning with broader national initiatives to combat hunger on college campuses.
The food drive is part of a series of end-of-semester events, including CRAM JAM on May 4 and birthday celebrations for students born in May, June, and July on May 5, all hosted at Galbreath Dining Hall.
By redirecting unopened food that might otherwise be discarded during move-out, the program aims to reduce waste while addressing student food insecurity through the campus pantry.
