Dongducheon City Shines: Crowned Top Performer in 2024 Public Sanitation Service Evaluation

[시사일보=안동규 기자] As a result of the 2024 public sanitation service evaluation, Dongducheon City selected three places that practice excellent public sanitation management within the district as ‘Best Businesses’ and distributed excellent business certification signs.

This public sanitation service evaluation was conducted on a total of 101 lodging, laundry, and bathing businesses.
In particular, compliance with related laws, service quality, and hygiene management status were evaluated and grades were given for each industry as best (green), excellent (yellow), and subject to general management (white).

Among the best (green) businesses, three businesses in the top 10% were selected as Best Businesses, had excellent business certification signs attached, and were posted on the city website for promotion.

Meanwhile, public sanitation service evaluations have been conducted every two years for each industry to expand consumers’ choice of businesses and encourage sanitation businesses to voluntarily improve their hygiene levels. This year, lodging, laundry, and bathing businesses were targeted, and next year, barbershops and beauty shops are scheduled to be evaluated.

A city official said, “Going forward, the city will continue its interest and efforts in public health to provide a safe and comfortable environment for citizens, expect greater achievements and development from excellent businesses, and do its best for the health and safety of citizens.” .
