Nintendo Switch 2 owners are expressing excitement over “Donkey Kong Bananza,” a new 3D platformer after Nintendo showcased the game. The Nintendo Switch 2 was released last month with “Mario Kart World.”
The company previewed “Donkey Kong Bananza” in a 15-minute Direct presentation, generating buzz among fans. The game, slated for a July 17 release, unites Donkey Kong with Pauline, who appeared in the original “Donkey Kong” and later in “Super Mario Odyssey.”
Together, they confront the Void Company, which seeks to exploit Ingot Isle’s resources. Pauline, an aspiring singer, empowers Donkey kong with musical transformations, granting him unique abilities like super strength, speed, and flight.
Donkey Kong can utilize his strength to interact with the environment, building, destroying, and riding boulders. The game emphasizes exploration, with hidden items scattered throughout the land.
The game supports two-player co-op and utilizes the Nintendo Switch 2’s mouse control. It is also GameShare and GameChat compatible.
