It was revealed on the 1st that martial artist Ren Hiramoto will hold an emergency press conference in Tokyo from tomorrow evening, the 2nd. Two of his lawyers will be present at the press conference.

[Video]CEO Nobuyuki Sakakibara comments on the alleged “doping issue”: “Both Mikuru Asakura and Ren Hiramoto have had their samples taken”[RIZIN]

Hiramoto won the main event of “Super RIZIN.3” held at Saitama Super Arena in July, defeating Mikuru Asakura with a first-round KO. After that, a social media account that appeared to be an exposer posted an audio video of unknown authenticity, claiming that Hiramoto was doping. This caused controversy among martial arts fans.

At the press conference announcing additional cards for “Yogibo presents RIZIN.48” on August 21, RIZIN CEO Nobuyuki Sakakibara explained, “RIZIN conducts strict doping tests for title matches and grand prix matches, and this time we have air-shipped urine samples from Hiramoto and Asakura Mikuru to the United States for testing.”

At the time, he said about the test results, “They will be available next week. We would like to wait for those results and then make public to everyone what measures will be taken. If either sample comes back positive, we will take action in accordance with the rules. It’s nothing more and nothing less, so I would like you to wait for the test results.”

Furthermore, on the 31st of the same month, he stated on his official Twitter account, “Based on the results of the doping tests, I will definitely hold a press conference by the end of next week. It’s taking some time, but please wait for a little while longer.”
