Canon Expands Imaging Technology with Two New Products
Canon, the world’s leading imaging technology brand, has launched two new products: the RF28-70mm f/2.8 IS STM Lens and the SELPHY QX20 portable photo printer. These innovative products are designed to enhance the photography experience for both professionals and enthusiasts.
RF28-70mm f/2.8 IS STM Lens: Redefining RF Lenses
The RF28-70mm f/2.8 IS STM is a new standard zoom lens primarily designed for full-frame camera users. It features a wide adjustable focusing range of 28-70mm, with a constant large aperture of f2.8 throughout the zoom range. This lens meets the needs of photography in various formats, from portraits and events to landscapes.
With the RF28-70mm f/2.8 IS STM, photographers can freeze impressive moments even in low light and achieve beautiful, natural background blur (bokeh) effects. When used with an APS-C camera, the camera will switch to the standard zoom, with a full-frame equivalent effective focusing range of 44.8 – 112mm.
The lens also features up to 5.5 stops of optical image stabilization, and 7.5 stops when used with cameras that have image stabilization (IBIS), which improves image stability. Its lightweight design and high performance make it ideal for everyday use, travel, and on-the-go photography.
SELPHY QX20: Creating Easy-to-Make Business Cards and Photo Stickers
The SELPHY QX20 is a compact and portable photo printer that transforms memorable moments into vivid and colorful photos. This printer has been further developed from the SELPHY SQUARE QX10 model and offers users maximum convenience and freedom to create a greater variety of print jobs.
In addition to postcard and square photo printing, the SELPHY QX20 can also print 86×54 mm business cards. It can connect to wireless devices to print photos, taking approximately 40 seconds to print each sheet using multi-directional printing technology. The printer produces photos with beautiful details, colorful, dirt-resistant, and waterproof, preserving precious moments for many years.
The SELPHY QX20 will be available in October 2024 in three colors: Sand White, Dark Grey, and Terracotta Red.
