Qi Shaoqian’s Wife Passes Away After Husband’s Funeral Arrangements

Tragedy struck the family of Qi Shaoqian, a renowned Hong Kong star, as his wife passed away due to a heart attack while arranging his funeral.

A Facebook fan page, Nine Lonely Swords, shared a message expressing condolences to Qi Shaoqian and his wife, stating that they had passed away and were on their way to the afterlife.

According to Hong Kong media reports, Qi Shaoqian, a senior actor, passed away earlier this month at the age of 73 due to esophageal cancer in Beijing. The news was confirmed by Hong Kong director Tian Qiwen, leaving fans and viewers who remembered him as Hun Pueyang in Invincible Sword in a state of sadness.

Tian Qiwen revealed that Qi Shaoqian was unaware of his cancer diagnosis, as he disliked undergoing medical examinations. Upon discovering his illness, he left immediately.

Tian Qiwen also praised Qi Shaoqian’s professionalism, stating that he and Wu Mengda were the only two actors in the Hong Kong entertainment industry who didn’t require direction on set. Their dedication to their craft earned them great respect from industry insiders.

Qi Shaoqian’s wife was deeply saddened by her husband’s passing and was worried about arranging his funeral. The stress and fatigue from these events are common causes of heart attacks.
