Toney shared a direct message for other Black men navigating societal pressures. One thing we have to remind ourselves is you are worthy,
he said. Being a Black man, especially in America, is knowing that even if the world can’t see how special you are, you’ve got to know that and make sure you stay around people who understand that.
Dr. Q Provides Dental Care and Supports Underserved Communities
The practitioner, widely known professionally as Dr. Q, earned both his undergraduate degree and Doctor of Dental Surgery from Howard University. His practice spans Los Angeles and Atlanta, focusing on full-mouth rehabilitation, veneers, teeth whitening, and restorative dental care.
His client roster features high-profile figures across entertainment, sports, and media, including professional athletes and recording artists. Beyond his clinical work, Toney established Determined to Be a Doctor, an organization designed to support underserved communities and empower the next generation of minority medical professionals.
Expanding Access to Dental Education
The dentist also campaigns for improved oral-health education in regions where access to quality dental services remains restricted. His community initiatives aim to ensure other Black men know they deserve to occupy spaces where they have historically been overlooked.
