The Woodlands Methodist School has announced the appointment of Dr. Chris Povich as its next Head of School, effective for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Dr. Povich will succeed Mr. Ken West, the current Head of School who is retiring after his tenure at the institution.
With more than 30 years of experience in education and leadership, Dr. Povich has served in various roles throughout his career, including as a teacher, campus principal, and most recently as Assistant Superintendent in Conroe Independent School District.
The appointment followed a comprehensive and prayerful search process conducted by The Woodlands Methodist School in conjunction with The Woodlands Methodist Church.
“From the very beginning, it was clear that Dr. Povich not only brings exceptional leadership experience, but also a genuine heart for students and a passion for serving in a Christ-centered community,” said Rev. Drew Essen, Executive Pastor of The Woodlands Methodist Church.
We are confident he will lead our school with wisdom, care, and a deep sense of purpose.
