Colorado Springs police have identified the driver who died in a fatal rollover crash on April 12 as 35-year-old Alex Dean.
According to a news release from the Colorado Springs Police Department, officers responded to a single-vehicle crash on Dublin Boulevard and Gambol Quail Drive West just after 1 p.m., where Dean’s pickup truck struck a raised rock barrier before rolling over.
Dean was taken to a local hospital following the crash but later died from his injuries. The El Paso County Coroner’s Office confirmed his identity.
Investigators have indicated that speed is a suspected factor in the crash, though no formal charges have been filed and the investigation remains ongoing.
The April 12 crash marks the 14th traffic fatality in Colorado Springs so far in 2026, compared to seven during the same period last year.
