Du Dewei’s Macau Music Party: A Family Affair with Son AJ by His Side
Du Dewei recently made a special trip to Macau for a performance, where he was joined by many good friends, including Yip Tong, Yip Lai-yee, Brother B (Zhong Zhentao), Wang Leehom, Li Zhiting, Zeng Bitt, Sit Kai-chi, and Zhou Pakho. The reunion of old classmates was a highlight of the event.
However, the most notable aspect of the evening was the presence of Du Dewei’s son, AJ, who served as his right-hand assistant. AJ took care of various tasks, including taking photos, practicing singing, and even providing massages to help his father navigate the tight work schedule.
Du Dewei, who recently returned from a tour in the Mainland, revealed that the enthusiastic response from the audience led to an invitation to perform an encore in Shanghai in December. He took advantage of the weekend to perform in Macau with his son AJ, who proved to be a valuable asset to the team.
Du Dewei expressed his gratitude for AJ’s help, saying, “AJ was very helpful in today’s show. The staff are all official, very professional, and filming, photography, lighting, and massage – I have a very considerate personal assistant.”
Du Dewei also shared his experience of performing in Wuxi and Shanghai, where he encountered Typhoon Capricorn. Despite the challenging weather conditions, the concerts were a success, with the audience showing remarkable enthusiasm and dedication.
Du Dewei was particularly impressed by the fans’ loyalty, saying, “My fans have really been with me through thick and thin, and they have continued to wait for me despite the wind and rain. I am really touched, so I have agreed to hold a show in Shanghai again in December.”
