dubai Ruler Pardons 985 Inmates Ahead of Eid al-Adha

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the United Arab Emirates’ vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, has directed the release of 985 prisoners from Dubai’s correctional facilities. The amnesty arrives just before Eid al-Adha, a major Islamic holiday.
Dubai’s Attorney General, Chancellor Essam Issa Al Humaidan, stated that the sheikh’s decision demonstrates a dedication to family well-being and providing inmates with a chance to reintegrate into society.
al Humaidan said the pardon “reflects his keenness to bring happiness to their families and give them an possibility to start a new life,” according to the emirates News agency.
The Dubai Public Prosecution and Dubai Police are collaborating to enact Sheikh Mohammed’s order,according to the Attorney General.
Those being released include inmates of various nationalities currently held in Dubai.

Released inmates will be given the opportunity to rejoin their families and begin new lives following the completion of legal procedures.
