Applicants can now manage their applications, check status updates, and submit required documents electronically. The authority has also focused on improving customer service and providing clear guidance throughout the request process.
The new permits accommodate over 50 different types of residency, covering a wide range of professions and circumstances.
Furthermore, the authority has enhanced the biometric verification process and introduced advanced security measures to ensure the integrity of the data and prevent fraud.This includes utilizing facial recognition technology and other authentication methods to verify applicant identities.

The SAH-SML (See Al-Harasi – Simbol for National Identity) initiative, led by the Ministry of Interior, has contributed to the success of the new residency permit system and the progress of a modern and efficient identity management system.
