This exciting expansion includes two 24-hour services, enhancing our public transport options day and night.
The E1 and E2: Dublin’s New Night Owls
Meet the E1 and E2, Dublin’s new 24-hour bus routes, affectionately known as the E-spine. Stretching from north of Ballymun, through the city center, and all the way to Dún Laoghaire and Bray/Ballywaltrim, this round-the-clock service will ensure you’re never stuck without a ride. Whether you’re headed to college—UCD, TU Dublin, DCU, or Trinity College Dublin are all on the route—or late-night hospital care is needed at the Mater, Rotunda, Temple Street, or Loughlinstown, the E-spine has you covered. Plus, with the night-time economy booming, these services will make sure you can always get home safely.
Airport Connectivity Like Never Before
For the first time, Dublin Airport will have a direct connection via public transport. The brand new Route 19 will zoom from the airport, through Ballymun and Drumcondra, and into the city center. Running every 10-20 minutes, it’ll be a lifesaver for commuters and travelers alike.
Local Links Galore
Phase 6a also introduces eight new local routes,_links connecting communities across south Dublin and north Wicklow to their local centers and onward transport options.
