Janette Kelly – Stylish Runner-Up
Janette Kelly from Galway secured the title of Best Dressed Runner-Up with a chic two-piece dress and detachable cape designed by Roisin Linnane. She completed her ensemble with a hat by Edel Ramberg and accessories sourced from a local Wexford boutique. The judges lauded her look for its “elegant, so chic” colour and silhouette. “I’m just so honoured to have been asked on stage, it’s amazing. I’m having an amazing day!” Janette shared, expressing her delight at being recognized.
Maritess McCarthy – Best Hat Winner
Maritess McCarthy from Cork was awarded the Best Hat title, sponsored by Ireland’s Blue Book, and received a €2,000 voucher. Her winning hat, crafted by sinead McKenna Millinery, was described by judge Bairbre as “funky and quirky.” Bairbre was particularly drawn to Maritess’s unique skirt, made with Filipino fabric, noting, “I spotted her first as of her amazing skirt… and after I followed it through the crowd, the hat was just stunning, like a satellite!”
Recognizing Irish Heritage and Sustainable Fashion
This year’s competition introduced the Irish Heritage & Sustainability Style Award, sponsored by Jack Murphy, which was presented to Danielle Crowley from Galway.The award highlights the increasing importance of incorporating conventional Irish craftsmanship and eco-conscious practices into contemporary fashion.
Best Dressed duo – A Stylish Partnership
The ‘Best Dressed Duo’ award, sponsored by Cashel Palace Hotel, was awarded to Gillian and Raymond Gilbourne from Cork, showcasing that style is often best enjoyed as a shared experience.
