SPC Group Unveils ‘Wonders’ Project, Revolutionizing the Donut Industry
Heo Hee-soo, Vice President of SPC Group, revealed the ‘Wonders’ project, a premium store concept that combines 80 years of R&D know-how with cutting-edge technology and a focus on health.
“To create new products, we have applied SPC Group’s 80 years of R&D know-how, from flour to starch and fermentation, and technology utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) to Wonders,” said Vice President Huh.
The ‘Wonders’ project aims to provide a unique experience that goes beyond the traditional donut store. The first flagship store, ‘Dunkin Wonders Cheongdam’, will introduce new products and services targeting customers who want to enjoy a trendy space.
The store will feature an open kitchen where customers can watch fresh donuts being made. The menu includes innovative products such as ‘Wondernut’, ’32 Layers’, and ‘Puff’, which use low-sugar ingredients and fermentation technology to create a unique taste experience.
In addition to donuts, the store will also offer soft ice cream menu items such as ‘Wonderscream’ and ‘Sparkling Coolata’, which can be enjoyed with signature donuts and coffee.
Dunkin plans to expand the ‘Wonders’ concept to other stores in the future. In November, Dunkin Gangnam Live and Dunkin Busan Station Ramada will be converted into Wonders stores, and the ‘Hub and Spoke’ system will be introduced to deliver premium products to stores within a 30km radius.
