The identification of these locations stands in contrast to major American tourist hubs such as Disney World, Times Square, and Yellowstone National Park, which CNN describes as being packed to the rafters with tourists.

Durham, North Carolina

Among the 25 destinations is Durham, North Carolina. The city is characterized as a former tobacco factory town that now offers a variety of attractions for visitors. One of the primary sites highlighted in the city is the Duke Lemur Center.

Pioneer Valley, Massachusetts
