Chon Buri,Thailand — A terminally ill 6-year-old boy,known as “Auto,” recently passed away after his heartfelt wish to see Moo Deng,the pygmy hippo at Khao Kheow Open Zoo,was fulfilled.
The zoo’s staff, known as “khamoo and the gang,” shared Auto’s story on Facebook, recounting how a medical team contacted them late last year. Auto, diagnosed with late-stage cancer, had expressed a final wish to meet his favorite animal, Moo Deng, in person. The zoo immediately welcomed the opportunity to grant his wish for this special pygmy hippo encounter.
According to the Facebook post,Auto visited the zoo shortly after the New Year. zoo personnel made arrangements to accommodate Auto, even asking other visitors to allow him to fully experience his visit with the Khao Kheow Open zoo resident.
