Earthquakes, Dynamo Draw After Late Goal in san Jose

A late goal by Griffin Dorsey allowed the Houston Dynamo to tie the San Jose Earthquakes 3-3 on Saturday at PayPal Park. the Earthquakes rallied from a two-goal deficit to take the lead,only to see Houston equalize in stoppage time.
Dorsey’s shot, assisted by Franco Escobar, deflected off defender Dave Romney and into the net. The San Jose Earthquakes (5-6-4) had not lost in their previous seven matches across all competitions.
Houston (4-6-5) took a 2-0 lead with goals from Ezequiel Ponce in the 31st minute and Felipe Andrade in the 50th. Ponce headed in a cross from Dorsey,while Andrade scored after a deflection.
Preston Judd, who entered the game in the 64th minute, scored twice in quick succession, in the 66th and 72nd minutes, to tie the game. Ian Harkes assisted on Judd’s second goal with a well-placed cross.
“I think we’re trying to build our culture to never say die,” Judd said. “We where down 2-0 and nobody really stopped believing. The result feels like a loss after the tie after we went up 3-2, but I think it’s a good learning point and to know we’re always in the game.”
Daniel Munie then scored his first MLS goal in the 76th minute, heading in a lofted pass from Harkes to give San Jose the lead.
