The young man, Ismail Muhammad Abdel Samad, from Sinhwa village in Minya Al-Qam center of Sharqia Governorate, died of a sudden heart attack while sitting in a wedding carriage next to his bride.
The news of his death spread on social media and his death left a deep sorrow in the hearts of his family, friends and acquaintances.
In this regard, as reported on the “ClevelandClinic” website, here are the causes and symptoms of heart attack and how it can be prevented.
Heart attack symptoms
Chest pain
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing.
restlessness
nausea
Stomach discomfort.
heartbeat
worry
Dizziness, lightheadedness or fainting.
How does a heart attack happen?
Most heart attacks are caused by fatty deposits in the walls of coronary arteries, the arteries that supply the heart muscle.
Over time, these plaques build up and narrow the arteries, reducing blood flow to the heart.
In some cases, one of these plaques ruptures, leading to a blood clot at the site of the rupture, blocking arteries, preventing blood from reaching the heart muscle, and causing a heart attack.
Other causes of heart attack
Although plaque buildup and clots are the most common causes of heart attacks, there are other factors that contribute to their occurrence, such as:
Coronary artery spasm.
Connective tissue disorders.
Serious trauma, such as a car accident or fall from a height.
Eating disorders damage the heart and increase the risk of heart attack.
Abnormal coronary artery.
Low blood pressure or oxygen or increased heart rate.
risk factors
Age and gender
The risk of heart attack increases with age, and men are more susceptible than women to heart attacks at younger ages, but incidence rates converge between sexes after menopause.
family history
If you have a family history of heart disease, such as a heart attack or stroke, you are more likely.
smoking
Smoking is one of the most important risk factors for this disease, as the nicotine and chemicals found in cigarettes damage blood vessels and increase the risk of clotting.
nutrition
An unhealthy diet rich in saturated fat and cholesterol increases the risk of atherosclerosis, the leading cause of heart attacks.
Lack of physical activity
It increases the risk of obesity, high blood pressure and diabetes, which are known risk factors for these serious diseases.
stress
Chronic stress raises blood pressure and increases the release of stress hormones, which increase the risk of heart attack.
Diabetes
Diabetes damages blood vessels and increases the risk of heart attack.
high blood pressure
High blood pressure puts pressure on the heart and arteries and increases the risk of atherosclerosis.
High cholesterol
It also increases the risk of fatty plaque build-up in the arteries.
Complications of heart attack
Irregular heartbeat.
Cardiac arrest.
Heart valve problems.
stroke
Sudden cardiac arrest.
Depression and anxiety.
Cardiogenic shock.
Methods of prevention
Quit smoking.
Maintain a healthy weight.
Follow a healthy diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean protein.
Exercise regularly.
Reduce stress and tension.
You should monitor your blood pressure regularly and follow the treatment prescribed by your doctor.
Take cholesterol and diabetes medication regularly.
