East Providence Park Management Search Underway

for the vendor.
Parks Division Oversight
Crescent Park and the Looff Carousel grounds are part of the approximately 320 acres managed by the East Providence Parks Division. The division is managed by an assistant superintendent who reports to the Director of Public Works.
The Parks Division is responsible for the planning, maintenance, and improvement of a variety of city facilities and recreational areas, including:
- 15 neighborhood parks and playgrounds
- 20 ballfields
- Five outdoor tennis courts
- 17 outdoor basketball courts
- Nine youth soccer and football fields
- The Agawam/Mello Softball Complex and Hunt’s Mills Recreation Area
- Conservation areas and two historic cemeteries
- A portion of the Blackstone Valley Bikeway
In addition to park maintenance, the division provides landscape services for City Hall, the Police Department, the Senior Center, the Community Center in Rumford, and three library branches.
