Easton Swofford RBI Walk Helps Jacksonville Score

Liberty University faced Jacksonville State in a baseball game on April 10, 2026.

During the first inning of the contest, Easton Swofford recorded an RBI walk on a 3-2 count. The play allowed Riley DeCandido to score, while teammate Jordan Jaffe advanced to third base and Nick Barone advanced to second base.

Swofford, a senior infielder for Liberty, has appeared in 23 games during the 2026 season. His current statistics include a .231 batting average and a .393 on-base percentage, with 15 hits, 11 runs, and 9 RBI.

In the 2025 season, Swofford played in 38 games and made 31 starts. His versatility in the infield was noted as he started 14 games at second base and 13 games at third base, in addition to one start as a designated hitter.

Swofford’s 2025 performance featured a .267 batting average, 10 RBI, and 12 runs scored. His offensive contributions that year included five doubles, one home run, and 15 walks, resulting in a .348 on-base percentage.

Before joining Liberty University, Swofford attended Crowder College for two years. He was named to the 2024 NJCAA All-American team and the 2024 All-Region 16 second team.

As a member of the Crowder College Roughriders, Swofford participated in the 2024 JUCO World Series. The team also secured the Region 16 and South Central District championships, finishing the year ranked No. 8 in the NJCAA polls.
