EBC Financial Group Expands ETF CFD Offerings for Broader Market Access
EBC Financial Group (EBC) is expanding its trading platform with more than 100 new contracts for difference (CFDs) based on US-listed exchange-traded funds (ETFs). The move gives clients greater access to a wider array of investment options and theme-oriented trading tools.
The new ETF CFDs include funds listed on both the NASDAQ and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). These funds are managed by major asset firms such as iShares (BlackRock), Vanguard, and State street Global Advisors. The product suite covers various market sectors and macroeconomic themes.
EBC said the ETF CFDs provide access to regionally focused indexes, such as the iShares MSCI Brazil ETF, and income-based vehicles like the iShares iBoxx $ High Yield Corporate Bond Fund. Industry-specific funds, including the Vanguard Health Care ETF and the United States Oil Fund LP, are also included.
The offerings also feature equity baskets of mid-cap stocks, dividend-yielding indexes, and style-driven tracking products.
The iShares MSCI Brazil ETF, for example, outperformed the S&P 500 during the post-COVID recovery in 2021, demonstrating how thematic investment vehicles can react differently to market developments compared to general benchmarks.
These CFD offerings allow for leveraged trades and the ability to take both long and short positions. Traders can bypass traditional fund charges and brokerage fees by using CFDs instead of direct ETF investments. All trades are executed in real-time through EBC’s platforms.
EBC has also partnered with Brokeree Solutions to launch educational initiatives focused on copy trading. Brokeree provides a Social Trading solution compatible with MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, and cTrader, enabling cross-platform strategy replication. EBC plans to offer market knowledge and support copy trading as a learning tool, creating informative materials and webinars on trading tactics and risk control.
